Now, the reveal of this Mass Effect art book on its own isn't particularly revelatory, but in the context of strong rumours developer BioWare is working on a remaster of Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3, it's certainly interesting.

Even if you download and install the files, when you open the game they will fail to authenticate. "Contains extensive new material from the DLCs for all three games - including the award-winning Lair of the Shadow Broker from Mass Effect 2 and the fan-favourite Citadel from Mass Effect 3. Of all these DLCs, the only ones that are actually free to install and play are: The Stone Prisoner for DAO, the Black Emporium for DA2, Bring Down The Sky for ME1, and the Cerberus Network bundle for ME2. This new book includes hundreds of never-before-seen works of art, according to its description on the likes of Amazon and elsewhere. Update 2: Priestly delivers the good news: "Lair of the Shadowbroker should now be fixed for the PC and should be able to be downloaded now for both the PC and Xbox 360.An Art of the Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edition book has popped up for pre-order, with a 23rd February 2021 release date. "We are working on a fix for the issue and will get a working file up for PC users ASAP," Priestly assures, without knowledge of a more specific ETA. That file has since been removed from BioWare's download section (though it's harmless if you did download it). Apparently, the original download was corrupt and prevented "all" PC users from playing the new content. Update: Priestly has created a new thread tracking the issue. "I understand you are all irritated by this, but we want you all to play, so we are working hard to determine and fix whatever is causing this."
For the record, of the paid packs, Shadow Broker is the only real must-buy, though Kasumi isn't half bad. "I haven't said anything as we are working on the issue," noted BioWare community coordinator Chris Priestly in response to countless complaints (no really, countless complaints) on the official forums. Kasumi is one you'd want to install ASAP, while Shadow Broker, Overlord and Arrival you could play (almost) anytime, although Shadow Broker and Arrival make more sense after the main campaign. The new content is apparently incompatible with Windows 7 64-bit systems (update: all systems), as reported by Big Download. PC players eager to penetrate the " Lair of the Shadow Broker" in today's Mass Effect 2 DLC release have hit a snag.
